From the 1920's until today, these handmade leather animals appeared in a variety of sizes and figures, such as pigs, rhino’s and elephants. This beautiful, original fifties produced home elephant is made of fine brown leather by original methods of production ( watch the details and hand stitches on its back ). During the last 50 years the color and surface of the leather has become really charming. A lovely decorative object, but sturdy enough to serve as well as a footstool! Good and complete condition.
