Work
Over time, the artworks of Klaas Gubbels become more abstract. It remains to be seen primarily as timid (reticent), because of the limited number of visual themes. But this is also the power and charm of his art. In addition he uses a variety of techniques and materials-including photography, lithograph, woodcutting, mural, collage, found objects, glass and metal. His work has iconnections with works of artists like Giorgio Morandi and Amedeo Modigliani and seems influenced by Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray and George Segal. His work is represented in several major Dutch museums and Commercial Collections like Ahold, Akzo and TNT.
